Call Analysis:

Hands needed at the start: Neither
Hands held at the end: Neither

Body flow at the start: A quarter turn away from current partner and then forward and CW or CCW around 1 or 2 dancers.
Body flow at the end: Same CW or CCW flow as at the start

Good preceding calls:

Ending Formations for Standard Starting Formations and Arrangements:

a) Inverted Square (Heads Pass Thru), Normal Couples: Heads Separate around 1 to a Line
Ends in Facing Lines, Boys in left half of the line and Girls in right half of the line (BBGG)

b) Trade By, Normal Couples: Outsides Separate around 1 to a Line

Q: From an Eight Chain Thru Formation, the call was given for the centers to “Separate Around One to a Line.”
A: Improper. The dancers would have to separate twice to accomplish the desired results.
