Teaching Suggestions:
Cast a Shadow
A) The end dancers are the “casters”.
B) The end dancer who is facing out must carefully keep track of the half turn to meet the dancer behind them and then of the three-quarter turn before they spread.
C) The center dancers who are facing out are the “Shadows” around their nearest ends.
D) The center dancers who are facing in have extra time so they sometimes “whoop”.
E) There are four distinct actions involved. Gradually introduce the dancers to each of their possible parts.
